Here are some more cycling photos taken with my new Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX200V Digital Bridge Camera that I got yesterday. Think I am getting to get use to it! Love that it’s got a GPS build in. So I will never forget where I have taken the photos. To see the location for yourself, just click on a photo below and you will see a nice map under the photo :).
05-Jun-2013 : Killearn to Inversnaid
I am so happy! This time I made it all the way from Killearn to Inversnaid. If you have been following this website for a good while. You may remember that way back in October 2011, I did try to do this cycle. But due to running out day light, I only made it to Loch Arklet then had to turn back. So this time, I made sure I set off at the better time. Also it helped since, I did it during summer. So had many more hours of day light to play with!
After doing this cycle, it’s going to make cycling around Lincolnshire, look very boring indeed! It may not the very good from the route map below. If you check it out on google street view, you will see why I loved doing it to much!
I will now leave you with the route map, elevation graph, route statistics and photos.

March 2011 cycling statistics
Here are my cycling statistics for March. I now this month is still not fully over, I was really hoping to get out on the bike again one last time this month. It’s just so windy, it’s not going to happen. The wind speed is up 30 mph. I don’t really feel like getting blowing off my bike. It’s really pissed me off, since I really wanted to do another 34 miles, then I would have done 700 miles this month.
Here is the data from March 2011:-
- Total cycles: 29
- Total Distance: 666 miles
- Total Time: 50:07:28 (h:m:s)
- Avg Speed: 12.9 mph
- Max Time: 4:30:57 (h:m:s)
- Max Speed: 33.9 mph
- Avg Distance: 23.11 miles
- Max Distance: 60.10 miles

Now done over 1,000 miles on the bike
I have now done 1,040.9 miles of cycling so far this year!! Well pleased with myself, to think my aim was 1,000 miles before the 1st April. Still got another 9 days to go, till then. 1,040.9 may not sound much, it’s like cycling from John O’Groats to Land’s End, with a good number of miles to play with.
So now on to today’s cycle. I did the longest cycle of the year so far… I did wait for it… 51.7 miles. Even did my best average speed of the year so far, with 13.8 mph.
Here are the statistics from the cycle:-
- Time: 3:44:30 (h:m:s).
- Avg Speed: 13.8 mph.
- Max Speed: 30 mph.
- Calories: 2,351.
- Elevation Gain: 510 metres.
- Elevation Loss: 509 metres.
- Min Elevation: 43 metres.
- Max Elevation: 164 metres.
