A famous chef is poisoned at the grand opening of his latest hotel, during a cooking competition in which various hopefuls compete for the head chef position. The team are left confounded when they realise that the victim didn’t consume anything that day that all the contestants hadn’t also consumed themselves. Catherine finds herself entangled in the case when an old friend becomes a murder suspect.

A scandalous discovery leads Tonya to taking drastic action and the school is plunged into darkness in a blackout. Preston takes the law into his own hands as Schuey continues to cause chaos. Neil and Coral butt heads and Libby goes to extreme lengths to keep her dad on her side. Kai is presented with an exciting idea for his future.

Summer is almost over, but in the seaside town of Sandown, there’s still plenty to look forward to as the town gears up for the Sandown Carnival. Keen to drum up new custom, café owner Vivette Fryer is planning a barbecue to give revellers a taste of her authentic Caribbean cooking. In Colwell Bay, former kite surfing champion Tom Court is making the most of the windy weather to brush up on his skills.

Into Alaska with Sue Perkins (Channel 5/HD | 9:00pm to 10:00pm | Friday 23rd February 2024)

The presenter begins the last leg of her journey by facing up to her fear of flying – though before she even steps onto a plane, Sue has to survive a heart-racing air crash simulator. Then she takes off to see the mesmerising Kennicott Glacier, and parts of Alaska unreachable by road. Sue also visits the formerly abandoned ghost town of McCarthy.

As the summer draws to a close, the pupil midwives are coming to the end of their training and prepare to sit their final exams.

King’s Cross (Part 2). Series 27, episode 10. Nikki continues to try and identify the last of the remaining bodies, hoping it will uncover any connections and find motive, while Jack and the police look into several 20-year-old missing persons cases which might reveal the identity of the man dubbed ‘The King’s Cross Serial Killer’.

In Calbourne, viewers meet Sally Chaucer, who owns the oldest working watermill on the island. There’s also a look at newcomer Susan McCall, who moved from the mainland to Wroxall to take up a new role at the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary.

Into Alaska with Sue Perkins (Channel 5/HD | 9:00pm 10:00pm | Friday 16th February 2024)

The presenter follows the old gold trail route into the interior of America’s largest and wildest state, where she meets people who live in the wilderness. Sue begins her journey in Willow, where she takes part in Alaska’s ‘state sport’ of dog mushing, one of the few modes of transport available to locals come wintertime.
