Highlands. Series 2, episode 4. John Sergeant, Peter Davison and Paul ‘Piglet’ Middleton explore the Scottish Highlands. The trio start their journey on a ‘white’ steam car across the Cairngorms Mountain range. The vehicle is so exclusive that it used to carry American presidents. When they arrive in Aviemore, they board the Black 5, a spectacular train whose route takes them through a stunning valley and along the River Spey. The next day starts with a steam boat trip down Loch Ness and the last leg of their journey is aboard Heilan Laddy, a stream truck that looks incredible with a full and colourful history to match.

The Eurovision Song Contest (BBC 1/HD | 8:00pm to 11:55pm | Saturday 11th May 2024)

Live coverage of the 68th annual song competition from the Malmö Arena, Sweden – 50 years since Abba, the nation’s most famous musical exports, lifted the trophy with Waterloo, turning them into the most successful Eurovision act of all time. The show is hosted by Hollywood actress Malin Åkerman and Eurovision veteran Petra Mede, with BBC commentary as always from Graham Norton. He’ll no doubt be flying the flag for UK entry Olly Alexander, with his song Dizzy, and Bambie Thug, the first Irish act to have qualified in eight years with Doomsday Blue.

Amy and Kirsten are battling for their lives, against a ruthless armed killer, as new evidence takes the case in a different direction. Amy travels to an Air Force base in the Middle East, where she learns someone on the base was complicit in the attack. Meanwhile in Scotland, Kirsten hunts down Chapman’s killer, determined not to let her pregnancy get in the way of her mission.

Eliza warns Amy to get control of her investigation after an officer is stabbed on the base. Kirsten, who now works with MI5 partner Ramsay, uncovers key evidence that links a squadron member to the attack. The force is running out of leads on Chapman’s killer leaving Kirsten to follow a hunch.
