Overall 2023 has got off to a great start!

Here are just some of the highlights from 2023 so far!

Staying at the Tan Hill Inn. Which is Britain’s highest public house at 1,732 feet (528m) above sea level.

Going my first holiday with Bugsy! Which included doing the first 3 days of the England Coast Path. Plus walking around coast of Holy Island.

Walking the of Dales Way Links, which took us 17.73 miles from Harrogate to Ilkley.

Using Dent railway station, Which is the highest operational main line station in England, at an altitude of 1,150 feet (350 metres).

Oh and of the biggest single best thing I’ve DONE in years! That was of course, walking the whole of the Dales Way from Ilkley in West Yorkshire to Bowness-on-Windermere in Cumbria.

Please do keep visiting this website, to read all about my next BIG adventure!

Check out the our Dales Way route, on Strava

Please do check out the route we took while doing the Dales Way on Strava!

Our total distance over 7 days was 88.8 miles.

Dales Way : Day 7: Patton Bridge to Bowness on Windermere

WOW! Bugsy, Mark G and myself have only gone and done it! We have walked all the way from Ilkley in West Yorkshire to Bowness-on-Windermere in Cumbria.

During the last 7 days of walking we have covered over 91 miles! Had great weather, like 99% of the time. Only rained for like maybe only 3 hours, during the whole week!

And well Bugsy… OMG! I just could not love him any more! He’s been totally amazing! Been great watching him learn so many new things!

Dales Way : Day 5 : Lea Yeat to Sedbergh

That’s Bugsy, Mark G and myself done day 5 of the Dales Way, which took us 10.15 miles from Dent railway station, then onto Lea Yeat where we ended the Dales Way yesterday, then along to today’s ending point at Sedbergh.

The highlights from day 5 were… Getting a train from Ribblehead railway station to Dent railway station, which is highest operational main line station in England at 350 metres above sea level. Then walking to the village of Dent it’s self, a walk of around 5 miles.

Dales Way : Day 4 : Oughtershaw to Lea Yeat

That’s Bugsy, Mark G and myself done day 4 of the Dales Way, which took us 12.40 miles from Oughtershaw to Lea Yeat.

Just a mini update… I will do a FULL update later today… Once we have done day 5…

Dales Way : Day 3 : Kettlewell to Oughtershaw

That’s Bugsy, Mark G and myself done day 3 of the Dales Way, which took us 16.34 miles from Kettlewell to Oughtershaw then Gayle, Hawes.

For the third day in a row, the weather has been very good indeed! Did feel the wind even more today. Mainly due to fact we did climp to around 580 metres in hight.

So when we start day 4 of the Dales Way, tomorrow we will get a lift back to Oughtershaw. Since that’s where we left the footpath. We walked to Hawes, to get a left back to hotel with Mark’s Mum and Dad.

The highlights from today was, again the weather, the amazing views and finding a honesty box cafe at the Ruskin Hostel, selling drinks and snacks.
