A livestock auctioneer prepares for the biggest sale of his career so far, while a farmer in Ravenstonedale, Cumbria, uses goats’ milk to make products from cheese to soap. A mountain guide ensures that walkers attempting the gruelling 24-mile challenge of Yorkshire’s Three Peaks in under 12 hours make it to the end of their journey safely.

Michael Portillo continues his South Wales coastal railway journey in Barry Island, where he joins a Bristol pilot on his way to help guide a feeder container ship into port. Skirting the Glamorgan Heritage Coast, Michael alights at Llantwit Major to visit St Donat’s Castle, before reaching the pretty seaside resort of Porthcawl.

Away from work, Adam finally opens up to Harry. Comedy drama, starring Ben Whishaw.

Ben Fogle: New Lives in the Wild (Channel 5/HD | 9:00pm to 10:00pm | Tuesday 22nd February 2022)

Ben spends time with a multi-generational family in Oxfordshire who have left their conventional life behind and relocated to an empty plot of land which they have transformed. Ben learns about the obstacles the family have overcome and how they have spent two decades honing their skills and living off the land.

Great Coastal Railway Journeys (BBC 2/HD | 6:30pm to 7:00pm | Wednesday 23rd February 2022)

Michael Portillo’s coastal rail journey along the south coast of Wales reaches the town of Port Talbot, where he investigates how the steel industry is planning to decarbonise. Across the Bay, Michael arrives in The Mumbles, site of the world’s first passenger railway in 1807, before making his way from Gowerton to Burry Port and heading for the wild and blustery Pembrey Sands.

Michael Portillo travels the rural coastline of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire in south Wales. From Carmarthen Bay, he tracks up the estuary and River Towy to the historic town of Carmarthen and Middleton Hall, home of Wales’s National Botanic Garden. There, Michael is on the trail of the quarter of a million honeybees that live in the garden.

Michael Portillo reaches the most westerly station in Wales, on the final leg of his rail journey along its southern coastline. At Milford Haven, Michael learns from the Harbour Master about the biggest energy port in the United Kingdom, which has an oil refinery and storage terminals as well as natural gas terminals. Further along the estuary at Pembroke Dock, Michael visits a pioneering project to harness the power of the sea.

Susan Calman’s Grand Day Out (Channel 5/HD | 8:00pm to 9:00pm | Friday 25th February 2022)

The presenter visits the Peak District in the heart of England, famed for its striking landscapes and rolling hills. There Susan negotiates Segway tracks, rides a tram, braves the River Derwent, and scales the Heights of Abraham in a cable car.

Death in Paradise (BBC 1/HD | 9:00pm to 10:00pm | Friday 25th February 2022)

When a prestigious chess match ends in murder, the team members have to work out how and why the killing was carried out. Meanwhile, the Commissioner is confronted with his past by the very last person he was expecting to see.
