After my last very big cycle adventure, which was cycling all the way from John O’ Groats to Land’s End, covering a distance of 990.30 miles over 16 days. Which was way, way back in 2009. Really think I’m long overdue another adventure.
Right now, my plain is to get a train up to York, then cycle from York to the Tan Hill Inn, which is the highest pub in Great Britain at 1732ft above sea level. A distance of around 70 miles, with an Elevation Gain of 4,509ft.
Then stay the night at the Tan Hill Inn! Then the following morning cycle to Settle, a distance of around 36 miles, with an Elevation Gain of 3,045ft. Where I could get the train back to Grantham.
That makes it sound very, very easy! Which of course, I know it will not be!
So what do you think of this idea? Please do let me know!
