Happy 140th birthday to Glasgow Central railway station. Which was opened by the Caledonian Railway on 1 August 1879.
It had under 33 million passengers in 2017–18, making Glasgow Central the twelfth-busiest railway station in Britain and the busiest in Scotland!

I love train travel. I partly grew up in Germany, and we rode all over the place, Rome, Paris, Several Places in Switzerland (love that place), and we took the rail boat to London as well. This was long ago. In fact, when we got to Germany, the Occupation was ended. I remember seeing cars that ran on charcoal.
