I am well pleased with the Audio-Technica AT-LP120-USBHC Turntable, that turned up yesterday. I only ordered it on Friday (24th February 2017) from Scan, then I did pay £8.39 for Saturday delivery. Since, I really did not have to have to wait till Monday or Tuesday!
So far, I am very pleased with it! It did take me a while to get it set-up! I had to read the manual and watch a number of YouTube videos on the subject. Since I wanted to make sure, I got the counterweight and anti-skate set-up correct.
My last turntable was a fully automatic belt-drive. This one is direct-drive, fully manual operation. So you have to fully interactive with it. Have to start it spinning, move the torn arm to the correct potion, then lower it into the desired location (groove) on the record. So much more fun, than just pressing the start/stop button!
Would I recommend this turntable! Hell YES!
That’s great……pleased you took the trouble to to set-up the Pickup Arm properly…….some people who are not familiar with setting this stuff up, get themselves in a right pickle…….Glad you are pleased with it. At some later date you might feel like upgrading the Cartridge…….but don’t get involved in that yet Mate. You made a good choice of Turntable 🙂
Think the first think I will change, will be the turntable platter. The ones made out of cork look good!
DJ Valentine in da ‘ouse!!!
Yes…….I use the thin Cork Turntable Mats on my Machines…a good low cost upgrade
